My Story

I was born in Kishinev, Moldova, where childhood meant imagination was my greatest possession.  Without many toys, I discovered the magic of creation early on, learning to knit and crochet, at the age of 9.  It was my 4th-grade math teacher who first taught me and guided me to follow the intricate crochet pattern of a doily.  At the age of twelve, my family and I immigrated to the United States.  I recall telling my parents that if all else fails, I will make doilies and sell them in America.  I crocheted my way through high school, college and graduate school, taking long breaks in between.  Fast forward to the pandemic, when the whole world was upside down, and I started making crocheted, breathable cotton masks, hats, scarves, etc.  When a close friend welcomed a baby later in life, I designed and crocheted a baby bassinet - a labor of love that rekindled my creative fire. At the time, the fashion industry was booming with crocheted bags, and my focus shifted.  Through countless iterations, experimenting with form, texture and function, my signature style was born.  Today, my brand creates custom, couture, one-of-a kind crochet bags-pieces you won’t find anywhere else in the world.  Every bag is carefully handcrafted with exquisite attention to detail and the perfection of stitch work, designed to be as timeless as they are unique.  No two bags are alike, because true style is never mass produced.
